Summertime Play

It’s summer time and whether it’s a reality or not we all expect (want – hope for – long for) business to slow down.  Even if it doesn’t slow down many people condense their days or start earlier in order to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather.  Summertime is a great time to plan some team bonding moments or client appreciation events and Vancouver is full of great places and events onto which you can piggy back.

PNE – Everyone loves the PNE (I knew my now husband was made for me when he took me there on our second date and we both LOVED the Marketplace) whether you want something more formal or super laid back and self directed the PNE is a great option.  Did you know that they cater to group events?  You can have your own private section within a beer garden or just get everyone passes and arrange to meet at the mini-donut stand for group donuts.

Patios and Beverages – There are a ton of great patios in Vancouver and nothing says summer quite as much as something cold (sangria or beer?) on a patio.  Take your team or some clients you love out for post work drinks.  BONUS you can take advantage of Vancouver’s new Happy Hour by-law and all the great specials that most establishments run.  Rogue has a great patio at Waterfront station and during happy hour has their mystery pour or red or white for only $3/glass.  Chill Winston in heart of Gastown is definitely a happening place for post work drinks and great selection of brews.  We would love to hear about your favourite Happy Hour location.

TIXE World – talk about team building!  Take your team on an adventure by going to TIXE World.  You will be locked in a room for an hour and have to work together to get out.  Check out their events on their Facebook Page.

Free Things to do in Vancouver – check out all these opportunities to do free things in Vancouver with your team.  While your at boredinvancouver.com you can check out all of the other great suggestions on their site.

Let us know your favourite way to kick back and hang with your team!
